 Skerries RNLI Lifeboat bring hypothermic man safely ashore


Skerries RNLI launched to reports of a man in difficulty on board a boat in Skerries harbour.

Within Minutes the lifeboat was with the casualty, on board a 21ft Motor boat moored in the harbour.

The Casualty was found to be suffering from hypothermia and other injuries as a result of exposure to the worsening conditions.

The lifeboat brought the casualty ashore and transferred him to an ambulance for further treatment.

Force 6 Northerly winds and a 2 to 3 metre swell made for dangerous conditions on the slip behind the harbour and as a result the lifeboat was recovered on the slip at the Sailing club.
